Demo versions of games in the US were created and
given out to owners of PSP systems by direct mail (by sending them to members
of the Playstation Network and Sony's Playstation website) or by game stores
giving them to customers of their stores. They were occasionally also included
with Playstation or other gaming magazines.
These were usually packaged in a card board sleeve, and the discs contained shortened versions
of the retail games (like only having the first level or a limited amount of time to play).
Also included here are the three Public Betas that I know of. These were sent to people who were able to sign up for the public beta program (usually through the Playstation Network) to test online gameplay before the game was released. Promotional pack-in versions of games and UMDs made for PSP Kiosk displays are also listed here.
