In Europe, Promotional versions of games were very
common. These Promo versions usually contained a full copy of the retail disc,
but didn't have full-color artwork printed on the disc and came in simple plastic
envelopes, sometimes with a small card showing the game's box art and basic
instructions for game play. These are all marked 'Promo Only- Not for resale'
on both the disc and the packaging.
A smaller number of Demo discs were also made in this fashion to be given out to
the public as a way to sample the game prior to purchasing it.
